Wanting to do something memorable, Christen and Mike came to us with the idea of producing a Save the Date video. They wanted the video to announce their wedding date to friends and family. With only a few weeks to work on it, we came up with the idea of creating a mock romantic comedy movie trailer…starring them! The trailer’s premise was to incorporate how they met and their entire life together. We had a blast creating this with them. Christen and Mike, we can’t wait to capture your wedding. Your Save the Date video will certainly be memorable for everyone.

The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) Said,
“O young people! Whoever among you can marry, should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty, and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his desires.’”

Reported by Anas ibn Malik, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) Said,

The Mahr (Dowry): Allah says (what means): “And give to the women their dowry with a good heart, but if they out of their own good pleasure remit any part of it to you, take it and enjoy it without fear of any harm. ”
(Al-Nisa 4:4)
The mahr can be of any amount, Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi was sallam) said, “Look for one even if it was an iron ring”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
But nowadays, talking with experience, in London, mahr has gone very expensive when one wants to get married. Mahr is in the region of 10,000-15,000 at this time, the bride is not asking for that much but the family is.
and Allah knows Best how much it will be when I get married!
This amount of money could be the life savings of one person but it don’t appeal to the families asking for such money for mahr.
They, the families asking for such money are putting a ‘Burden’ upon people that want to get married, but are unable to do so as they don’t have the money that the families request. Subhanallah.
“May Allah lift this burden off mankind the burden mankind has created and help those that want to get married and help those that want to find a right partner for marriage”
